Privacy Policy for Basic Lists

Last Updated: May 23, 2026

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Basic Lists (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Android mobile application. The application was formerly published as Basic Checklists; this policy applies to the same product (package name: com.basicorganizer.checklists).

Basic Organizer develops and maintains the app as an independent project. The application does not transmit checklist content to developer-operated servers. This document is provided for transparency and does not constitute legal advice.

Developer Information

App Name: Basic Lists (device label: Lists)
Developer: Basic Organizer
Contact Email: basicorganizer.post@gmail.com
Distribution: Google Play Store

Note: This app is developed and maintained as an independent project. While we strive to provide reliable service and support, response times and feature development may vary based on available resources.

Information We Collect

Data Stored Locally

All application data required for operation is stored locally on the device:

This information is stored in a local SQLite database and in app-private preferences. It is not transmitted to developer-operated servers or third parties as part of normal app operation.

Item text and checklist names may constitute personal or sensitive information depending on content entered by the user. The developer does not access, review, or use that content for advertising or analytics in the current version.

The app does not request dangerous permissions (location, contacts, camera, microphone, etc.) in the current version. Network access is used only when external links are opened (for example, the developer page on Google Play).

Third-Party Services

The current version does not integrate advertisements, analytics SDKs, or cloud storage. Standard Android / AndroidX / Material libraries are used for the user interface only.

The following user-initiated actions involve third parties not controlled by Basic Organizer:

In the future, optional features may be introduced:

All future features will be disclosed in app updates or within the app interface. Opt-in will be required where mandated by applicable law before new collection or sharing begins.

Data We Do Not Collect

The developer does not operate backend servers for this app and does not directly collect or store on developer systems:

Clarification: Checklist and preference data reside on the device for application functionality. Local storage does not constitute remote collection by the developer.

Voluntary email correspondence may include personal information supplied by the sender; such data is not collected through the app interface.

User Rights

Depending on jurisdiction, rights may apply under GDPR (EEA/UK/Norway), CCPA/CPRA (California), and other laws. Because checklist data in the current version is held on the device and not on developer servers, access, correction, and erasure of list content are ordinarily effected through in-app controls or uninstallation.

Privacy requests: basicorganizer.post@gmail.com (subject: “Privacy request – Basic Lists”), including the nature of the request, jurisdiction, and relevant particulars. GDPR-related requests will be answered within 30 days where required, with extension up to an additional 60 days where permitted for complex cases.

This policy is intended to address requirements commonly associated with:

Where GDPR applies to on-device processing of personal data, legal bases include performance of the application requested by the user and, where relevant, legitimate interests in providing local checklist functionality. Optional future processing will rely on consent or another valid basis as required.

International transfer: checklist databases are not transferred to developer servers in the current version. Email may be processed in jurisdictions where the mail provider operates.

Optional features added in the future will be implemented in accordance with applicable laws. Full compliance with every jurisdiction cannot be guaranteed.
