This Privacy Policy explains how Basic Measurements (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) handles information when you use our mobile application. Basic Measurements is a personal tool for logging body weight and body measurements, viewing on-device statistics (including BMI and waist-to-hip ratio), and optionally setting reminders.
Basic Measurements is designed to keep everything you enter on your own device. The app has no account, no server, no cloud storage, no analytics, and no advertising. The app does not request Internet access. Your weight, body measurements, and personalization details never leave your device unless you personally choose to share them (for example, by exporting a file yourself, or by sending us a feedback email).
App Name: Basic Measurements
Package name: com.basicorganizer.measurements
Developer: Basic Organizer
Contact Email: basicorganizer.post@gmail.com
Basic Measurements is intended for personal tracking and rough orientation only. This app is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, monitor, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. It is not a medical service, diagnostic service, treatment service, or clinical monitoring service. Nothing in the app should be considered medical advice.
Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding health-related decisions. Do not rely on this app for urgent or emergency situations.
Calculated values such as BMI and waist-to-hip ratio are provided for informational purposes only. They are mathematical estimates based on the information you enter and should not be considered medical advice or an assessment of your health. They do not fully reflect muscle mass, fat distribution, pregnancy, or overall health.
Statistics, graphs, trends, category labels, and similar summaries are generated automatically from the information you enter and may contain inaccuracies if the entered information is incomplete or incorrect. They are not clinical assessments or diagnoses.
You use the app and any information it displays at your own discretion and risk. You are solely responsible for any decisions made based on information in the app.
Information you enter into Basic Measurements — including body weight, body circumferences, height, date of birth, sex, and derived values such as BMI or waist-to-hip ratio — may be considered personal data and, in many jurisdictions, sensitive personal information / special category data related to health.
This information remains stored only on your device and is never transmitted to the developer or to any third party by the app.
Such information is used solely to provide logging, on-device calculations and charts, reminders, export, and other features within the app. It is never used for advertising, profiling, analytics, marketing, or sold or shared with anyone.
Basic Measurements does not use artificial intelligence or external services to analyze your measurement data. All processing happens locally on your device.
Basic Measurements is not a healthcare provider, health insurer, or other entity covered by the U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and this policy is not a HIPAA notice.
All user data is stored locally on your device. Depending on how you use the app, this may include:
This information is stored in a local database and local app preferences on your device. It is not transmitted to any external servers, to the developer, or to any third parties. We have no ability to see, access, or recover the data you enter into the app.
You may choose to export your weight and body-measurement entries to a text file (optionally including a statistics summary). That file is created only when you request it. The app then opens your device’s system share sheet so you can save or send the file using apps or locations you choose.
Once you export a file, that copy is under your control. Once exported, files are no longer protected by the app and are subject to the security of the location where they are stored. Exported files may contain sensitive health-related information. The app does not upload exports to the developer. If you store or share an exported file outside the app (for example in cloud storage, messaging, or email), that is outside the app’s control and subject to the policies of those services or recipients.
The app currently does not collect information off your device. If future versions introduce features that require collecting or transmitting information — or that add categories of health-related information you enter (for example nutrition or exercise information entered by the user) — this Privacy Policy will be updated before those features become available. Any feature involving sensitive personal information would require your explicit opt-in consent.
We do not collect or store on any external server:
The only time your email address becomes visible to us is if you choose to contact us or send feedback by email (see “Feedback and Support Emails” below).
Basic Measurements may request the following Android permissions, used only for the purposes described:
| Permission / capability | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Notifications | To show optional measurement reminders you schedule. |
| Exact alarms / schedule exact alarm | To deliver reminders at the times you choose, where required by Android. |
| Boot completed | To reschedule your reminders after the device restarts or the app is updated. |
| Vibrate | For optional notification feedback where supported. |
These permissions are used locally on your device. They are not used to collect or transmit your measurement data. You can decline notification or alarm-related permissions; reminders that depend on them will not work until granted. Reminders are entirely optional.
The app does not require Internet permission and is designed to work offline for its core tracking features.
The app includes an optional “Feedback” option that opens your own email application so you can contact the developer voluntarily.
Please do not include sensitive personal or health content in feedback emails unless it is necessary for your request and you are comfortable sharing it.
android:allowBackup="false", with backup and data-extraction rules configured to exclude the app’s data). This helps keep sensitive health-related content from being copied automatically by system backup tools. No method of electronic storage is completely secure. The developer cannot recover deleted information, or data lost due to device failure, reset, loss, theft, damage, or app removal. You are responsible for any backups you choose to make (for example, via the in-app export feature).
You have full control over your data at all times. You can access, modify, and delete your entries directly within the app, and you can remove all app data by uninstalling the app.
Because we do not collect or hold your personal data on any server, most data-subject requests can be fulfilled entirely by you, on your device. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR (EEA/Norway), the UK GDPR, or the CCPA/CPRA (California), including rights of access, correction, deletion, and objection, and the right not to have personal information sold or shared. We do not sell or share your personal information.
If you have contacted us by email and would like that correspondence deleted, you may request this at the address below.
Core tracking features do not rely on third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or cloud backends operated by the developer.
When you use optional system features (for example, sharing an export through another app, or opening your email app), those features are provided by your device manufacturer, operating system, or apps you choose. Their handling of information is governed by their own policies.
The app processes data locally on your device regardless of your country. If you contact us by email, your message may be processed in the country where the developer or the email provider operates. By contacting us, you understand that your message will be handled in order to respond to your inquiry.
This Privacy Policy is intended to describe how the app currently handles information. Where applicable, it is designed to reflect the principles of privacy laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, COPPA, and the Google Play Developer Policies (including User Data and Health apps requirements). Any optional features added in the future will be described in an updated policy before they become available.
This Privacy Policy does not create a contract for professional or medical services, and it is not legal advice to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of, inability to use, or reliance upon the app or its features.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In those places, liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
The app is designed to keep your information stored locally on your device. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, absolute security, or the accuracy of estimates, statistics, graphs, or trends. We cannot guarantee that reminders or notifications will be delivered at a particular time or at all on every device or Android version. The app does not provide medical advice and must not be used as a substitute for professional care. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate device security measures, for managing any exports you create, and for any decisions you make based on information in the app.
By using Basic Measurements, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
